The Placement Agent and Independent Funding Source Industry Committee is comprised of AGLF members who arrange (placement agents) and provide (independent funding sources) financing for state and local government projects, but are not owned by commercial banks.  The primary goals of this Industry Committee are to promote the benefits of the members to the lending process, and to educate members regarding regulatory matters.  Of particular importance at the moment is the definition and pending regulations regarding “Municipal Advisors”, which may have a significant impact on the role and capabilities of our members on a going-forward basis.
